Accessibility

What we have built for, and what is still being tested.

Last updated October 2026

Target

We build to WCAG 2.2 AA across the public website, registration, onboarding, profiles, the portal and administrative interfaces.

What is implemented

Semantic headings and landmarks, a skip link to the main content, visible focus indicators, labelled form controls, validation messages associated with their fields, and status that is never conveyed by colour alone.

Keyboard operation of navigation, dialogs, filters and forms, with focus returned to the element that opened an overlay when it closes.

Respect for the operating system's reduced-motion preference.

Known gaps

The dense research visualisations, including the citation graph, are the least accessible part of the product and are usable through their accompanying lists rather than the graph alone.

Accessibility is verified by review and automated checks; it is not certified by an external audit.
